Fall of Saigon

Every year the VCA Vic national organises an annual peaceful protest at the Vietnamese embassy in Canberra, with the Chapters participating in attendance. It is undeniable that this annual event is emotional for all that attend, each year and every year, despite the time that has passed.

The community experiences deep and complex emotions from the tragedy of the Vietnam War, particularly the way in which the war started and ended. It is in this free and democratic land that the people who experienced the loss of their freedoms understand deeply the need to have it and the importance of supporting those whose basic human rights are currently being lost or are non-existent.
